Science Station @ Lindale is OPEN! Come by and experience our exciting Exhibit Gallery on the Main Floor down the hall from Younkers! Explore our interactive gallery which includes our Early Childhood Exploration Area for children 8 and under and the Elementary Gallery for all ages, plus cool exhibits on magnets, electricity, action-reaction and weather! You can also purchase or renew your membership, sign up for summer camp and other programs, or purchase science-themed merchandise from the Curiosity Shop.

Take Flight with Rockwell Collins at the Science Station Gallery

Description: Engineers will be on hand to answer questions and perform demonstrations related to the flight principles shared in the new traveling exhibit called Take Flight, at the Science Station between now and mid March 2012. Come visit Science Station gallery, don't miss this chance to see, do and learn!
Take Flight the Green Way-
Date & Time: February 11th, 2012 from 10:00am-11:00am Cost: Free
Description: Join us in the lower level Education Center when we partner with the Linn County Solid Waste Agency to offer a recycled plane building class. Learn about some basic principles of flight and recycling at the same time! You will build model planes out of recycled materials to take home. This class is sponsored by the Linn County Solid Waste Agency and is FREE. You will also receive an admission pass into the gallery to enjoy the Take Flight exhibit compliments of the Solid Waste Agency. An RSVP is required. This is a great activity for the whole family.

Take Flight is an exploration of the creative process of flight.
Visitors try their hand at building their own planes and rockets, while uncovering fundamental principles of flight.
